Jagger & Supergroup, For the first time since the Rolling Stones was formed nearly 50 years ago, Mick Jagger is part of a new band: Super Heavy – with Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, Damian Marley and India AR Rahman soundtrack composer. The band has been recording together in silence for the past 18 months, with their debut LP planned for sometime around September. “It’s unlike anything else I’ve been involved in,” says Jagger, Rolling Stone. “The music is very broad. – From ballads to reggae to Indian songs in urdu”
The group was started two years ago, when Dave Stewart called Jagger from her home in Jamaica. “I live in Lima Hall right above St. Ann’s Bay,” says Stewart. “It’s kind of the jungle, and sometimes I listen to three sound systems of all things different game. I’ve always liked that, along with orchestras from India. I told Mick, ‘How could we do a merger? We were talking about an experiment, and then started talking about the voices. Born all of that conversation. ”

Jagger loved the idea, and after many calls for the exchange of ideas and the phone in the world, settled in Rock, AR Rahman and Marley – whose rhythm section helped to deepen the band. “We wanted a convergence of different musical styles,” says Jagger. “I always overlap different styles, but they were nevertheless different.”

About 18 months ago, the band gathered in a studio in Los Angeles. None of them had prepared all the music. “We did not know what the hell we were doing,” says Stewart. “We were doing an interference and noise. It was like when a band first started in his garage. Damien sometimes kick and then Joss to sing something on top of it. We may have a backlog of 22 minutes, and become a six-minute song. ”

The release method was inspiring to Jagger. “One of the beauties is, simply speaking as a vocalist, I did other things,” says Jagger. “I played guitar and harmonica, but there are four vocals on the album. It all depended on me.” The group’s name came from some improvised voice of Marley. “He was just singing ‘heavy, heavy, heavy, heavy and super heavy,’” says Stewart. “We thought it sounded good and that kind of stuck with us.”

Jagger is convinced that fans Stones cover group. “It’s a different kind of record that people expect,” he says. “Not everything is weird and strange though. I think the fans stones are thought to be a bit strange, but find most accessible. They have heard me play the harmonica before and many of them is very high energy.”

As of now, no plans to bring Super Heavy on the road. “We are experiencing at the moment and just take it day by day,” says Stewart. “I think if we’re rehearsing and it sounds great and people love the idea so no one is ruling out the possibility of it.”

Gregg Allman, frontman for the legendary Allman Brothers Band, has signed with William Morrow to bring his untitled memoir to print in spring 2012.Rock memoirs have been a hot category for publishers the last several years. The announcement comes two days after The Who guitarist Pete Townshend signed with HarperCollins (which also owns William Morrow) and on the heels of bestsellers by Steven Tyler, Sammy Hagar and Keith Richards.

Allman's book was on the shortlist of great unwritten rock memoirs. William Morrow describes the project as an "unflinching" look at his life. In a statement announcing the deal, Allman said, "When I got out of high school, I thought, I'll take a year or two off and play the clubs, get this out of my system and then go to med school. More than 40 years later, I figure it's finally time to write about this crazy journey that's taken me around the world and back."

Allman founded the Allman Brothers Band in 1969 with his brother Duane, Dickey Betts, Berry Oakley, Butch Trucks and Jai Johanny Johanson. The band's first three albums -- "The Allman Brothers Band," "Idlewild South" and "At Fillmore East" -- were huge hits that made southern rock a national sensation.

Duane Allman died in a motorcycle accident in Macon, Ga., in October 1971. The band continued on, releasing "Eat a Peach" in 1972. But in November 1972, Berry Oakley died in a motorcycle crash not far from the site of Duane's death. The band broke up in 1976, and though it re-formed several times in the ensuing decades, nothing else matched the magic of those first few years.

Gregg Allman had a successful solo career, but his personal life dominated the headlines. He battled drug addiction and was arrested several times for it. His 1975 marriage to Cher turned him into a tabloid sensation (satirized in Doonesbury). They had one son together, Elijah Blue Allman (Allman has four other children). Allman grew sick of living in Los Angeles and tired of the way Cher courted media attention, so they split up in 1979.

Allman continued to tour both as a solo act and with versions of the Allman Brothers Band in the '80s and '90s. His biggest solo hit was 1987's "I'm No Angel," which sold more than 500,000 copies. In 2007, he was diagnosed with Hepatitis C and in 2010 had a successful liver transplant.

William Morrow senior vp and director of creative development Lisa Sharkey, who acquired the book, said: "If ever there was a musician with a devoted fan base and an incredible life story to tell, Gregg Allman is the one. This memoir truly has it all."

Schwarzenegger puts work on hold. With everyone talking about former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's out-of-wedlock child, the politician abruptly put his Hollywood comeback on hold to sort out his personal life and perhaps prepare for a starring role in a big-budget divorce battle.
The former "Terminator" star, who earlier this week acknowledged fathering a child with his family's longtime housekeeper, told his talent agency Thursday to postpone all his movie projects.

"Gov. Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines," a statement from his office said.

When Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver, separated earlier this month, neither was talking divorce. That may have changed, however, after he revealed Monday that he fathered a now 13-year-old son with the family housekeeper and never told his wife until this year.

People magazine reported this week that Shriver has retained prominent Los Angeles divorce attorney Laura Wasser. If the Kennedy heiress and former network TV anchor goes ahead with a divorce, several prominent attorneys say, she is likely to cash in big.

"It seems to me that he has gratuitously embarrassed her. This should greatly enhance settlement negotiations," said Atlanta attorney John Mayoue, who has represented Chris Rock in a paternity suit, baseball star David Justice in his split with actress Halle Berry, and other celebrities.

Although California is a no-fault divorce state, meaning her husband's actions technically can't be used against him in court, the reality, attorneys say, is that it will be.

"Every judge would know about what happened, and I think would hold it against him," said attorney Robert Nachshin, who has represented the ex-wives of a who's who of entertainers that includes Will Smith, Rod Stewart and John Ritter. "Judges are human beings, and Maria will definitely be the sympathetic spouse."

Based on his experience, Nachshin said, Shriver should expect to receive at least $100,000 a month in spousal support and, with three children under the age of 18, probably another $40,000 or more a month in child support.

Then there's the division of the couple's property, including the Brentwood mansion that Shriver and her children moved from earlier this year.

Nachshin said that could be affected by a prenuptial agreement, if the couple signed one when they were married in 1985. Many such agreements call for people to keep what would otherwise be joint assets separate after marriage.

Although the scandal has gained worldwide attention, the attorneys said the most surprising thing about it is that the public found out.

"In my experience what Arnold did is not unusual," said Nachshin, who has represented several clients he said hid the existence of children from their wives and others. Mayoue said separately that it's not surprising for celebrities to have such secrets the public never knows of.

In retaining Wasser, Shriver is turning to an attorney whose specialty is keeping details of celebrity splits secret, and Nachshin said that's what Schwarzenegger should strive to achieve. He suggested that if the former governor is smart, he would seek to have divorce proceedings handled privately by a retired family law judge, keep his mouth shut in public and tell the truth in court.

"Because courts go crazy if people lie," he said.

Celebrity divorces have become a specialty of retired judges because they can be conducted in private, although the final resolution must, like any other divorce, be made public.

In the past, celebrities and the wealthy have gone to great lengths to keep the details of their divorces private, with mixed results.

Billionaire supermarket mogul Ron Burkle tried unsuccessfully to keep secret 1,200 pages of his divorce transcript, including allegations that he told his daughter he had videotapes of her mother having sex with a boyfriend.

In allowing the documents to be unsealed, the California Supreme Court struck down a law that would have kept them from the public. Ironically, the law was signed by Schwarzenegger.

If there is one area where the former governor may prevail, attorneys and other experts say, it would be in getting out of paying a substantial sum to either the 13-year-old boy or his mother.

Miles' absurdist Chevy Coupe De Ville has been jacked up, given insane rims and most awesomely there's a huge airbrushed mural on the hood that features naked women and Benjamin Franklin smoking a joint.

Ludacris's Chrysler ME 4-12

Ludacris is a dude who isn't averse to spending money, and his choice of rides makes that abundantly clear. His Chrysler ME 4-12 is proof of that. This was a prototype of what was intended to be a high-end racing machine from Chrysler, but after extensive development the decision was made to not go into full production. Only two prototypes exist on Earth, and Luda has one. Boasting a light, powerful 850HP engine, this baby really sings.

Chris Brown's Lamborghini Gallardo

Chris Brown is pretty much a sucker, but he does know how to trick out a car. His custom Lamborghini Gallardo is sporting a paint job designed to mimic the style of Air Force jets - and Brown's wish for the car to be as Top Gun as possible didn't end there, as it originally had a fighter jet seat as well. The seat had to be removed due to safety issues, but Brown still flies high in this baby.

Neil Young's Lincoln Continental

Iconoclastic musician Neil Young is the kind of guy who follows ideas to their absolute end, so when he got the idea to convert his sweet 1959 Lincoln Continental over to hybrid drive, you better believe he pulled it off. The LincVolt is just part of Young's quest to make a purely electric car with the classic '50s styling he loves, and the end goal is to make a car that does better than 100 miles on a single gallon of gas.

William Gallas's Mercedes McLaren

I truly doubt that Tottenham Hotspur soccer player William Gallas has any care about fuel efficiency. If he did, why would he chrome out the entire body of his Merceded McLaren. Coming off the line as the fastest production car in the world, this much chrome can't do anything for the car's handling but boy, is it ever shiny. Screw chrome rims, those are for amateurs.

Simon Cowell's Bugatti Veyron

American Idol is all the poorer without the acerbic presence of Simon Cowell ripping wanna-be stars a new hole, but I guess all that time off lets him explore his other pursuits, such as driving around in his Bugatti Veyron. This beast boasts over a thousand horses under the hood and a top speed that just tickles 250 miles an hour, so it's doubtful Cowell ever gets the chance to really open it up. Considering it retails for over a million bills, that's kind of a shame.

Bill Gates's Porsche 959

Yes, even supernerds like sweet rides. The awesome Porsche 959 is one of the automakers best cars, but for quite some time they were illegal to have on the streets, due to not passing regulator approval. When Gates bought his, it had to be kept in storage at the Port of Seattle for thirteen years until the Show and Display law was passed that made exceptions for limited-use vehicles to be imported if they drive it less than 2,500 miles a year. Thank heavens, because this thing is a beaut. Paul Allen has one too.
